COMPETITION GUIDELINE
Language accepted in this competition are English and Malay. Abstract, Extended Abstract and Video Presentation may be in these languages.
There are two main categories of participation in IMIC 2021.
1) Innovation Idea
2) Innovation Product/Project
2) Innovation Product/Project
This is to ensure that good ideas will compete with ideas only, while good innovation projects (with products) will compete fairly with products.
INNOVATION IDEA
Choose to present via a virtual poster (and upload on Youtube) if you are at the "idea" stage, WITHOUT product.
INNOVATION PRODUCT/PROJECT
Choose to present your product and all related supporting materials and upload on Youtube if you already HAVE THE INNOVATION PRODUCT.
Then choose which sub-category your idea/product suits in, as listed at IMIC 2021 Home:
1) Social Sciences
2) Science & Technology
3) Innovation in Education and Teaching
Then write and submit your abstract. We do not provide a specific template for the abstract, just make sure it is about 200-250 words with a title and contains all participants' names, affiliation and corresponding email.

Participants will receive a letter of acceptance from the organizer if the abstract is accepted after being evaluated.
Participants need to pay the fees and fill in the Google Form by attaching the proof of fees payment and the YouTube link of the presentation. Without the proof and link, the Form will not be able to be submitted through the system.

Record your presentation within 10-12 minutes and UPLOAD on YOUTUBE. Submit the Google Form with the YouTube link and proof of payment before or on the deadline. NO OTHER FORMS of virtual submission is accepted. The secretariat will upload the video again into AID/IMIC 2021 Youtube channel. This is to assist juries to judge the entries by participants.
EXTENDED ABSTRACT
Submitting an extended abstract for the innovation product or idea is an option. For innovators who need a publication of their innovation product or idea, this is a great chance to all. The extended abstract will be published in the IMIC 2021 e-proceeding and will be uploaded in the IMIC 2021 website. The proceeding will come with the e-ISBN from the National Library of Malaysia.
The extended abstract must be written between 700 to 1000 words. The template of extended abstract can be accessed here:

For innovators who submit the extended abstract before or on 5 January 2021 will eligible for the Best Extended Abstract Award. For the fastest extended abstract submission, there will also be an award given – The Fastest Extended Abstract Award.
JUDGING
Participants are required to present their innovation idea or innovation product through a pre-recorded video presentation, uploaded on YouTube and submit the link in the registration Google Form.
Main Criteria for Judging:-
Results of the competition will be announced on 4 February 2021 at 2:30 PM (ONLINE).
The board of jury is appointed by IMIC 2021 main committee. Jury’s decision is final and irrevocable.
